Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas this year!! I was lucky enough to have mom, dad, and Chris come down to my house for Christmas. The came down on Christmas eve and we had lasagna for dinner and played around a bit before heading out too see some lights.

We all got in my van and headed up to North Salt Lake. There is a house up there that has lights that are lit to music on the radio. Everything seemed fine as we pulled up, but as soon as we unbuckled Carson to let him get a better view of the house, he saw the Santa in the window of the house. It was like a movie screen and it looked so real!!! It was Santa peeking out the window and walking around the room. I guess it was too real for Carson and he started to freak out and was yelling that he wanted to go home now!!! So we took off as fast as we could to calm Carson down. We all got quite a chuckle from it!
So we kept driving around looking at all the big houses and lights.

We ended up by the Bountiful Temple and stopped to look at the pretty nativity scene there.
We got home and let the kids open one present. They got new PJ's!!!
They looked adorable in them!

After playing around, we finally put the kids to bed! The next morning, Carson was up at 6 wanting to go downstairs, but we were able to hold him off until 7, when he said he heard Gma get up. So we let him go downstairs to get gma & gpa but told him to stay out of the family room until we go with him. As gpa came out of the room, he caught Carson going around the corner to head down the hallway, but was able to stop him. But he still must have seen something, since he came up and told me he saw a little table with ONE chair!!! After eating cinnamon rolls and putting the final cotton ball on Carson's Santa we headed downstairs!I tried to get the kids to sit on the stairs so I could take a picture and give Nick time to get the lights on and make sure everything was in its place, but that was short lived!!! So I told them to go ahead and see what Santa brought!
They both quickly found what Santa had brought them. For Carson, a Lego Table, and for Kaylee, a Pink Powerwheels Fourwheeler.
Kaylee wasn't so sure about getting on the fourwheeler, even with Gpa's help!
Carson got the Forklift he had asked for!Kaylee had great help from Gma and Chris opening her presents....
Which included a doll and stroller! (Don't ya love her wild hair!!!)
Again....more help from gma with the unwrapping!

Here is Grandpa trying out his new Swim Goggles...Carson spent most of the morning on Kaylee's fourwheeler, but was more than willing to give Kaylee a ride!
Here is my family wearing masks from Carson's Curious George game.
Connect 4 was a pretty popular game that day! Gpa was pretty tough to beat, but Chris and I managed to beat him a few times!
After we opened presents, we got dinner ready in time for Matt, Natalie & Hallie to get to our house. And after we had dinner, we headed back downstairs for more gift opening!
Grandma got Hallie this really cute play gym for Hallie to lay on! She seemed to really like it, along with my two kids! Then it was Game time!!! We played the new game "Five Crowns" that Marisa had given to my family. It was good, and I even won!!!!

We took the cutest picture of Kaylee, Hallie, and the new doll together. Fun, huh?!?We even stuck Hallie in Kaylee's doll stroller!!!

It was a wonderful day and it was so fun to spend it with family!!! We can't wait to head to Idaho for New Years!!!

Aaron & Tiff vacation time!

Ok so you need to look at this post from the bottom up because I'm not going to move the pictures around! This is a picture of Aaron and I in Florida after we watched the shuttle launch from Cape Canaveral, it was a great day!

This is in St. Thomas, we played on the beach for a few hours that day, we didn't have very long to hang out because we had to be back on board ship that night.

This is in Cococay, this island is owned by Royal Caribbean, we didn't do much on this island because the wind was really bad and sand was flying all over the place.

Here is a picture of part of the ship, this was on Sunday the 8th when we dropped off our luggage then went and "checked in" and got our key for our room.

Saturday we flew into Florida early that morning so we had to kill some time before we could check into our hotel room, Rachel and I wanted to get pedicures and we somehow managed to talk the guys into getting one. They were hesitant but when it was all said and done I think they really enjoyed it, mainly because the chairs were massage chairs and we were all really sore from sitting in the airplane!

I will post more pictures when I have more time!

New Moon!!!!!

On Friday, Mom, Chris, and I went to the 11:30 show of New Moon!!! We weren't as lucky as Ris to go that morning to the Midnight showing!!!! A bunch of girls from my ward went and it was a fun night! And it was totally worth the late night!!!!
Me and Mom with our cool Sweethearts New Moon candy!
The whole gang.......I don't think we would be considered TwiHearts...but I know I was pretty excited to be there!!!
It was a fun night! Even Chris and his roommate Taylor had a good time. The lady sitting next to them thought it was quite "brave" of them coming. Maybe because they were two guys, and they didn't have dates with them....I think they got quite a kick out of this lady and her thoughts about them being there together! It was funny!

We can't wait until June 30th!! (The release date for Eclipse!)

Wolverine Runnin' in Cedar

Last weekend, the 9& 10th, Chris had a race in Cedar City, UT. Since this was the closest race this season, we thought it would be nice to go and see him run. So since Nick was working OT this weekend, me and the kids headed down with Mom & Dad. We stayed in Beaver at a hotel and then got up REALLY early Saturday morning to make it to Cedar City to watch Chris run. The kids had a lot of fun staying in the hotel with gma & gpa!
We got to the golf course, where they ran, around 8:15, and it was SOOOOOO cold! Brrrr! We bundled the kids up in blankets as best as we could.....
But it didn't take them long to figure out that running around would also keep them warm, or at least occupied long enough not to notice how cold it was!
Chris ran a good race. He said he was a bit tired from training so hard, but he still finished 6th on his team, and I believe he was also the top freshman finisher. Good Job!!!!

It was a super fun weekend. Chris drove back North with us so that was fun too! Then Tiffany & Aaron came into town for the weekend, and we got to spend some time with them on Sunday evening. Then on Monday, we headed to Tremonton and had YUMMY soup with them and Mom & Dad. We even ate our soup out of Pumpkin colored bread bowls. It was so good to see Tiff & Aaron, and the kids loved their dogs!! Spending time with family is definitely the best way to spend your time!
