Papers are signed
Aaron and I met up with the title company yesterday the 28th of April at 4 pm to sign our wonderful stack of papers. Since I have never bought a house before I was surprised to see the HUGE stack of papers and I think we either signed or initialed most of the pages. After we signed those papers our realtor had a few papers we hadn't signed yet so we signed those also. We were done around 5pm and they were able to fed-ex everything down to Vegas for review. If everything is in order and they don't have any problems with anything then it should be funded and recorded on Friday May 1st. I really hope that there are no issues and that we can move in this weekend, we are so close and I am so excited. During this whole process I've been thinking to myself "I thought buying a house was fun and exciting," well it's actually pretty stressful and it takes a while. Aaron and I are very blessed that we were able to find a house that we both liked and was a pretty good price. I hope to get pictures up after we move so hopefully in the next few days I will get pictures on here! Well that's all for now!

Rain, Rain, Go Away...
On Saturday, Carson had another soccer game. It rained a little in the morning, but wasn't raining during the game, but it was still pretty wet and cold. But it didn't stop the boys from playing and having fun. We bundled Kaylee up in her new rain coat, and she enjoyed watching the game from Carson's folding chair. Isn't she cute??
Carson is the one with the white long sleeves and red shirt...he did such a good job! He got some good kicks in and even got grass stains on both of his knees!
This is what I am constantly doing...pointing...reminding which way they need to kick the ball! :)

Undefeated
Yes. That is correct! Braydon's team is undefeated!!! Braydon has pitched in every game so far. He is only allowed to pitch 6 innings a week. So, he usually gets to pitch 3 innings a game. Last nights game was so fun. Braydon pitched his 3 innings and the first inning, he got 4 up and 3 out. He walked the first batter. The second inning he got 3 up and 3 down. Struck them all out. The 3rd inning he got 4 up, 3 out. The first batter he struck out. the other 3 hit the ball but the team got them out at 1st or 2nd base. Braydon also got a really good hit! He hit a homerun!!!! He was so excited about that. I think they had 2 boys on bases when he hit too. The score last night was 11-4. This was against the same team that they played 2 weeks ago and it was a close game. 7-6. Braydon's friend, Tren, is on this team. He is loving baseball and everyone still comments on how good he does. Oh, if Braydon isn't pitching, he's on 1st base. He does a great job at talking to the team and keeping them going. It's fun to hear kids talk base talk. The last game Braydon was on 1st base and he did a great job encouraging the other pitcher. We actually have 2 really good pitchers on our team. Probably the 2 best pitchers in the league. That would explain why we have an undefeated team. Oh, I love little league baseball!
How to keep kids entertained
I remember as a kid doing so many crazy things with my siblings. Easter weekend made me think of all the things we came up with to do when I was younger. Over Easter weekend, Austin was bored and I told him to go outside and find something to do. I looked out back and saw him pounding away on some boards we had in the back yard. After a few hours, he was called by his friend to come over and play. Austin left and the other kids decided they wanted in on the action of building a clubhouse. Braydon had his friend, Tren, over to play and the got to work.
It doesn't hold a lot of people in it but they did a pretty good job with the construction of it. They wanted to have a couple of rooms in it.
Once they got as far as they could (once they found out there was spray paint is how it really goes), they decided that it needed to be decorated.
It was a little bit harder for the girls to spray paint but they got it after awhile! Madison sprayed her face one of the times. She had red paint on her eyebrows, forehead and in her hair! It was kind of funny to see her covered in red. No, I didn't get a picture. I should have though. I was laughing too hard at my silly girl.
It took Kenzie twice as long to spray paint. She had to keep stopping to rest.
This totally reminds me of something from the movie 'Sandlot'. I'm just waiting for some big scary creature to be living inside of this. For now, we just have bees that are scaring the girls.
This would be the updated version of the clubhouse. Austin wasn't happy with the way the clubhouse turned out. We told him that he shouldn't have left to go play with his friend if he didn't want it to be built differently than what he had planned. So, for a week after it was started, the kids were outside hammering. They got a roof on it and now there are plans in the work for an add on. They are thinking 2 more rooms, I think. The plans are grand though. I'll keep you posted!
Jurasic Park Pack Meeting
We had such a fun pack meeting last week. We have a new Cub Master and he went above and beyond with this pack meeting. Our theme was Jurassic Park and he made up his own 10 ft. dinosaur. No pattern at all. Just cut it out and put it together. He sent all of the boys on a scavenger hunt to find each of the pieces. The Webelos had to find it with coordinates and a CPS tracker. Oh how the boys just LOVED pack meeting.
Mayci couldn't quite figure out what was going on with all of the things the kids kept bringing in to the church.
Austin went with the Webelos to look for bones. This one was one of the harder ones to find. The coordinates they had were for this tree. Well, the tree had a stick holding the tree up. A brace. They kept trying to pull the brace out and I told them they had better try and look higher in the tree. They finally found it!

Spring Soccer!
Yesterday Carson had his first soccer game of the Spring Season. He did a pretty good job! He didn't score any goals, well for his team....he did however score one for the other team! Sometimes it is hard for 3 year olds to remember which goal is theirs!! :) They had oranges at half time, which they seemed to like even more than playing soccer! :)
Even Kaylee loved the oranges...she sat contently on her chair and ate one. I think more of the orange got on her WHITE shirt than in her mouth!

Silly Carson...
Carson is such a helper....we were putting food in the pantry from downstairs, and he was right there with us hauling food up the stairs, putting boxes out in the garage and stocking the shelves. He is always that way though, willing to help and wanting to learn. I hope he continues this as he gets older. He is just one handsome little boy and I love him with all of my heart!
He is also very silly....as we were cleaning out the storage room, we had an empty box. And Carson found a very fun way to surprise me......
Our cute Kaylee...
Kaylee is learning to do so much! She loves to copy her big brother and loves to get reactions from people! I caught her the other day playing with her toys, and "talking" on the phone...it was so cute...she knew exactly where the phone goes when you talk on it...I just thought it was funny!!
She also loves to fold her arms when we pray. I don't remember how old Carson was when he started folding his arms, but I don't think it was this soon...so it was fun to see her catch on to what we do every time we pray. She just started doing it on her own. It is precious, just like her!

Happy Birthday Grandma Joy!!!
Happy Birthday Mom/Grandma! We had such a great time tonight celebrating Grandma's 56th Birthday! My family, (Bennett's), Matt & Nat, Dad and Chris, and even Grandma & Grandpa Edstrom were there to celebrate with us. We had a yummy dinner, Parmesan Chicken and Speghetti. It was yummy! Topped off with Chocolate chocolate cake, and chocolate ice cream. Thanks again Natalie for helping me with putting it all together. After dinner, we enjoyed opening presents with grandma...and of course Carson was right in the middle of the action. Lately he is so interested in birthdays...he loves the Happy Birthday song, and was super excited to sing it to grandma today!
Marisa, Tiffany, and I went in together and got mom a good start of supplies to get healthy. Like a stability ball, hand weights, workout dvds, a scale, and a mat. She seemed to be pretty excited to put them to use, and even as we left tonight, her and Chris were headed out on a walk! You see, we want mom to be healthy so she can be around for a LONG time and enjoy her grandkids!!!

But of course....every Birthday Girl deserves some chocolate....thanks to her hubby! I think she was pleased! :)
Matt & Nat gave mom a Gift Card to Famous Footwear to buy her some shoes, which she said she really needed, so I know that she was excited about that!
Look at our cute aprons....like mother like daughter....now I just need to make one for Kaylee!
We ALL really enjoyed Grandma and Grandpa Edstrom, and I know mom was pretty tickled to know they came all the way down just for her!
The 4 generations:
The yummy cake...in fact, Matt was the one who actually mixed the cake up, and it tasted absolutely delicious!!
Again, we had a very enjoyable evening...Kaylee was a little clingy to me, but she sure did like Grandpa for at least a few moments...
Chris had a track meet today, and he did very well!! We were glad they were able to come home just in time to eat! I can't believe he will be graduating in just under 2 months....that is just unbelievable!!
We wish we could have had Marisa & Tiffany there too, we missed you guys! Maybe next year! But don't worry, I think we all ate enough food to compensate!! Happy Birthday Mom, we hope you enjoyed your day, and we want you to know how much we love and appreciate you!! You are such a special person and we are so glad that you are our MOM!!!!
