Brower Reunion Part 2

On Monday we headed up to Lava Hot Springs, ID to play in the water. Everyone was there besides Matt and Grandpa who had to work. We got there when it opened and stayed until about 5. It was such a fun day! Even though the weather was a little overcast, it ended up being a beautiful day, and we definitely got our share of sun! Grandma had a fun time just helping with the babies and enjoying the grandkids. Livy did great and even got in the water for a bit. Doesn't she look cute in her swimming suit!?
Kaylee had a blast swimming! She was like a little fish. I think the swim lessons helped a lot get her more comfortable in the water. If you notice in the picture, the purple and yellow slide behind us. They are HUGE fast water slides and Carson had a blast going down both of them this year. I went down the purple one once and it scared me to death, so I am super proud of Carson and how brave he was to go down both of the slides, numerous times during the day. I have it on video of him going down the purple slide. It is cute!
Natalie and Hallie also had fun in the sun with us and Alivia got in some play time with Aunt Natalie too.
The Pugmires and Sonerholms were also with us and we enjoyed spending another fun day with them before they headed back to Idaho Falls. I am glad we are able to have fun days like this that create fun memories for the kids and our family. I can't wait to do it again soon!

Brower Family Pictures

Since we were all together for the Reunion, we took some family pictures. Mom did a good job getting us all in matching shirts! Here are the results from our photo shoot. We were only missing Elder Christopher Brower and Sierra. Next year we will have them there and Matt & Nat's new baby!

Brower Reunion Part 1

Sunday, after church, we headed up to Tremonton to spend some time with my family at the "Brower Reunion". We had yummy hamburgers and hot dogs and enjoyed visiting with everyone. It was so good to see everyone and especially let the cousins all play together.
Alivia and Cooper enjoyed hanging out while everyone ate!
The kids kept themselves entertained by playing with Grandma Joy's closet of costumes. They have quite a few costume changes. It was so fun to watch!
After dinner we all changed into our matching flag shirts and took family pictures. (The next post will show those!). But the kids were being pretty silly during the pictures, here is proof.
We also had some birthday cake for dessert. The month of July is a busy month for Birthdays. Carson, Kenzie, and Krista all celebrated their birthday while we were together.
Tons of Food, tons of Fun, and tons of smiles from the kids. Even the babies! Here is Cooper showing us his cute personality!
Natalie enjoyed the frosting more than the cake....go for it Nat, you totally can get away with it right now!
I love this picture, you can see how Alivia has totally discovered her hands and she grabs anything in sight, including her skirt!
After dinner and dessert it was time for the Brower Olympics. We had about 10 different games set up around the yard. Football toss, bean bag toss, horse shoes, basketball, straw throw, frisbee throw, nerf gun shoot, golf, and a ping pong ball toss. We each competed as families to see who could earn the most points. It was pretty entertaining!
I think the two little girls (Kaylee and Mayci) had more fun playing with the AC unit than the games we were playing. What do you think?
It was a fun filled day and evening. We stayed up WAY too late and then got up really early to get ready to head to Lava Hot Springs for the day. It was a great family reunion and we can't wait to do it next year when Uncle Chris will be home from his mission!

Carson's Birthday Bash!

We had the greatest time celebrating Carson's Birthday last Friday! One thing that helped start his birthday off great was getting a Birthday letter from Uncle Chris, who is on his mission in Brazil. Carson was super excited to get it!
He got a fun Birthday letter and Brazil money (that equaled 6 since that is how old he was!).
On Friday morning, we wok up and made Carson's Birthday cake. A Texas sheet cake. We also had green Swedish pancakes for breakfast. So we spent most of the morning in the kitchen.
We got every thing cleaned up in time for his party. Grandma Joy came and helped us out with his party and we picked up all of his friends at 11 AM. We headed towards West Valley City where we stopped by Little Caesar's and grabbed some pizza and crazy bread before heading to a park to eat it.
After eating, the boys burned off some extra energy by rolling down the hill and running around the park.
Carson wanted an all boy party this year and I wanted to do something that would keep us all cool in the summer heat. SO....we took him and 5 of his friends to Hollywood Connection in WVC. They have mini golf, rides, and skating there. Unfortunately, the skating was closed, but we still found plenty to do there to keep everyone entertained. We started out by golfing. The kids caught on to it pretty quick. We had to remind them to wait their turn because they were all so excited to move on to the next hole. But they all did great. Some of them even made the shots below or at par on some of the holes!
Carson, Preston, Benjamin, Luke, Jack, and Banxton all loved playing mini golf! Even Grandma Joy got in on the action!
After golfing, we all rode some rides including a roller coaster, carousel, bumper cars, balloon ride, and a jungle gym. The boys liked the bumpers cars the most I think!
After some rides, they wanted to play golf AGAIN, so we did!
Then of course we had to do the bumpers cars a few more times before we left. We made it back to our house a little after 3 and opened some presents then had some cake and ice cream. We did "Heavy Heavy Hangover Thy Poor Head" with the presents, it was funny to watch. Especially when it was Kaylee's turn to bonk Carson on the head!
Carson got some great presents! A new helmet, remote control race car, legos, bubbles, puzzles, and more car stuff. He has enjoyed playing with his new toys all weekend!
Before the boys left they enjoyed some time on the tramp and it was so cute to hear them do their Green Dragon Cheer. (From tball). It was awesome! After the party we gave Carson another present, a Razor. All of his friends have one so I think he was excited to get one too. He rode on that until it was time to go to the Ward BBQ.
We enjoyed some yummy hot dogs and burgers at the Ward BBQ at Hogan Park. And also some yummy salads and desserts. We told Carson they had the ward bbq just to celebrate his Birthday!
It was just an all around fantastic day. Carson even told me how good of a day it was when he went to bed that night. On Saturday after Nick got home from work, we celebrated his Birthday again as a family by taking the kids out to dinner at Applebee's. Carson told me on Saturday that he liked being 6, but he still felt like 5. It was so cute! We had a great time for his Birthday and I am still amazed that he is now 6 years old. He will start first grade in just over a month and that is crazy to me! We sure love him and his fun personality that keeps us always smiling! We love you bud!
