She got some paint, markers, and some paper that kept both the kids entertained most of the morning. Then we got ready for church and she got to wear her new Birthday Dress.
After Church, we got ready for her Birthday Dinner and got out the balloons and even a Dora Party Decoration!!! It was bigger than Kaylee!
We had some family over to have dinner with us and celebrate Kaylee's Birthday. Here she is with Grandma Karen.
We enjoyed a speghetti and meatball dinner. It is one of Kaylee's favorite dinners and she even had two servings of it herself.
Then it was present time!!! She got spoiled and we had so much fun watching her open her presents! She got a collection of Princess Barbies, baby doll blankets, more art supplies, a new pink tutu, clothes, a Tinkerbell barbie, Dora puzzle, and princess games.
Then it was cake & ice cream time! Every time I asked her what kind of cake she wanted she would change her mind from Dora to Princess themed cakes. So she ended up getting a cute little Dora cake for her and we made Princess cup cakes for everyone else to eat! It worked great!
The cupcakes, according to Uncle Matt, were "divine"!!!
We have such great family that came to help us celebrate!! They included Matt, Nat & Hallie, Randall, Virginia, Saran, & Janelle (our adopted family we have had for years!), G&G Brower, Unlce Ryan and Grandma Karen. We love you guys!!!
We had a fun day and Kaylee had a blast!!! Before we went to bed, we had a good friend come over and fit Nick and the kids for some skiis so we could go skiing the next day. I think that made the kids super excited to go....the didn't want to take the ski boots off to go to bed! I still can't believe my little princess is 3!!!! She is such a joy to have in our family and we love her so much. Here are a few things you should know about her:
*She loves to sing....after we read books and say prayers, I can hear her singing to herself before she goes to bed.
*She is super smart! She can sing abc's and count almost to 20. She has a great memory and is learning so much at preschool.
*She is a climber! She can climb up the cupboards and pantry and get into almost anything, but she isn't a big mess maker, just very good at getting to things!!!
*She loves dance class. She has never fussed once about going and on Friday mornings is always excited to get in her dance clothes to go to dance!
*She weighs 28 lbs 8 oz (27%) and is 36 3/4" tall (44%).
*She loves nursery, which is good since she gets to be there the rest of the year!
*She loves dolls, pink, art stuff, Dora, Princesses, and Curious George.
*She is totally potty trained, day & night! Finally!!!
*She is the most amazing three year old I know right now!
