Ski Trip!

We decided since Kaylee was now 3, it would be a good time and excuse to take the kids skiing. We decided to back to Wolf Mountain where we took Carson last year. It is a great place to teach kids to ski and they have a Monday Night special of $40 for a family of 4 to ski. When we got there, we found out the kids were free since they were under 7, and so it cost us only $24 to ski. We had borrowed some skis from a friend and so we didn't even have to rent the skis. What a lifesaver!!! We met my Brother Matt & his wife Natalie up there. They even brought Hallie to enjoy in the fun! They also had their friends Ryan, Tiffany, and their son Rosten with them. We got there right at 4 when the night skiing opened and hit the slopes. Here are a few pictures from last night.
Kaylee and Carson in all their snow gear. They had no hesitation getting on their skis! They both had no fear and did great!!! Kaylee was a natural at skiing. She had such good balance and only fell over a few times. She had to take several brakes to go warm up, but as soon as we would get in the lodge she wanted to go skiing again! After spending most of the night on the bunny hill, with either Nick or myself, all of them (excluding me) took the chair lift up and skied down the hill, twice. Carson and Kaylee did great. With the help of Aunt Natalie, Carson got the turning and the snow plow thing all figured out and Kaylee enjoyed just going straight down the hill, skiing in between dad or Natalie's skis. In fact, as we were getting ready to go Kaylee was whining that she wanted to go down the 'big hill' again! But it was already 8:30 and we really needed to get going so we could get home and get the kids in bed. But we had a great time skiing, eating (the kids loved the cookies and chips!), and hanging out!
It wasn't too hard to go skiing down the little bunny hill being 33 weeks pregnant, but I was definitely tired by the time we got home! I wish we could go skiing every week, but maybe next year we can make it skiing more often! I know the kids can't wait to go again either!
