Tradition

When my older girls turned 1, Justin wanted to get their ears pierced. I didn't get my ears pierced until I turned 8 and figured that would be when we got my girls ears' pierced. I didn't fight Justin over this one though. I thought that my girls would look just adorable with little earrings in.
Saturday we decided to take Mayci to get her ears pierced. I could have waited until Tuesday to get it done but I wanted to make sure that Justin could be there with us. I don't handle shots very well when they are poked into my little babes. This picture is of Mayci in the van, no clue of what will happen to her. She's just liking the fact that she's out shopping with her dad's money!
We had to make sure the earrings were put in the right spot. Yep, looks good!

2 at a time is the only way to go! I just love the look on her face. It's a "What the heck are you doing to me?" kind of look. This was just as they shot it in!

Just after they were done. They just cleaned the ears and it was done!

This is Justin's favorite thing to do! His shoulder seems well used at times. I know all of us girls have used it to calm us down or to comfort us. She only cried for about 10 seconds or so. As soon as she could put her head on Justin's shoulder, all was good in the world.

We made it out to the van and she was all smiles! It was like nothing happened. It's hard to believe my baby is going to be 1 in another day! Happy Birthday Cutie Pie!
