Easter Sunday
The kids got up just after 7 AM on Sunday and wanted to go see what the Easter Bunny brought them, but we were able to keep in our room until about 7:45 before we crawled out of bed and let them go see their Easter. They were super excited and Carson even said "It's like Christmas in here!". He is such a funny little guy! The kids got new socks and underwear, pj's, sleeping bags, flip flops and of course candy filled Easter eggs. Kaylee got new dance clothes and a dress and Carson got a new swim suit and some toy cars.

Alivia even got some Easter gifts. A new sun hat and hair band. She mostly just ate a bottle happily while the kids enjoyed their baskets!

We spent the morning playing and I made rolls and cinnamon rolls for the Easter Dinner we were going to that night. We got ready for church and Alivia attended her first Sacrament Meeting in our ward. Here are the kids before church in their cute Sunday outfits. Alivia had just woken up and she was hungry, but we needed to get out the door before I could give her a bottle, so that is why she isn't very happy in this picture!

After church we headed up to Matt and Nat's and had dinner with my family. We had a yummy ham dinner and enjoyed just visiting with one another. The kids played with toys and with Uncle Matt's new toy helicopter. Aunt Natalie also helped the kids make Resurrection Rolls. She is such a fun Aunt and is always doing the cutest stuff for and with our kids. She even made them the cutest Easter chicks, that are filled with rice so they can be heated or cooled for owies. Seriously, she is so amazing and we just love her to pieces! Here are some pictures from our afternoon.
It was a wonderful Easter Day. It was good to spend time with family. We tried to explain to our kids what Easter is really all about. Kaylee is still a little young, and she things that Jesus brought her toys. Tonight for FHE we read some quotes about the Atonement we had gotten on Saturday when we got "Egged" by an anonymous person. It was a pile of eggs full of candy and quotes. It was super cute! So if the person who egged us is reading this, THANK YOU, that was really fun!!! Anyway, our FHE tonight we tried to again explain what Easter is about and we also covered the 3rd paragraph of the Family Proclamation. I know that I am personally grateful for the gift of the atonement and I am so blessed to have the gospel in my life and to know the truth and purpose of our life here on Earth. I am also grateful for my wonderful husband and children and the joy they bring to my life.
