Hot Rockin' 4th!

On Monday, July 4th, we attended the Ogden's Hot Rockin' Fourth. It included a car show, bounce houses, food, and a demolition derby that night. We got to Ogden around 2 and did some shopping and then headed to the park for the festivities. We first stopped at the arena to watch some motorcycles do some cool jumps! It was super hot so we only watched for about 15 minutes before going to the car show. But here are some pictures.Kaylee wasn't sure if she wanted to smile for the camera or not! Silly girl!
Then the car show and some shade! We found quite a few cars that we liked!
Then the kids went and played on the bounce houses. Carson was so cute with Kaylee. He was quite a protective brother and kept his arm around Kaylee the whole time they stood in line to make sure she was safe. (There were some interesting people there, that's for sure, it IS Ogden!)
Poor Alivia, it was SO hot and you could tell she was a little warm, but she was a trooper and was still a very happy baby that day! By the time we left, she only had on her tank onesie.
We ate pizza, hot dogs, and meat on a stick for dinner! Then grabbed some cotton candy to eat while we watched the demo derby! We got there in time to save a good seat for our family, my parents, and Matt & Nat's family. By the time it started, that place was packed! But it was a fun time watching the cars crash into each other. Carson loved it! And I didn't realize it, but my mom had never been to a demo derby until that night! How funny!
They kept throwing shirts and other prizes into the crowd and so Kaylee wanted a turn to try and get their attention, but it was a little too late by then!
The girls had fun playing with Grandma in between the different heats of the derby. (It takes a few minutes to clean up all the wrecked cars!).
We also had fun with grandpa Brower!
We saw this car at the car show. It not only blows fire out of the back, but also through two pipes in the front too...it was pretty HOT!
We left before the final round, but made it home in time to light off fireworks with our neighbors. It was the perfect way to end the holiday! We are so blessed to live in this country and we are proud to be Americans. I am so thankful for all the service men and women who have and are working so hard to keep us safe!
