We had the greatest time celebrating Carson's Birthday last Friday! One thing that helped start his birthday off great was getting a Birthday letter from Uncle Chris, who is on his mission in Brazil. Carson was super excited to get it!

He got a fun Birthday letter and Brazil money (that equaled 6 since that is how old he was!).

On Friday morning, we wok up and made Carson's Birthday cake. A
Texas sheet cake. We also had green
Swedish pancakes for breakfast. So we spent most of the morning in the kitchen.

We got every thing cleaned up in time for his party. Grandma Joy came and helped us out with his party and we picked up all of his friends at 11 AM. We headed towards West Valley City where we stopped by Little
Caesar's and grabbed some pizza and crazy bread before heading to a park to eat it.

After eating, the boys burned off some extra energy by rolling down the hill and running around the park.

Carson wanted an all boy party this year and I wanted to do something that would keep us all cool in the summer heat. SO....we took him and 5 of his friends to Hollywood Connection in
WVC. They have mini golf, rides, and skating there.
Unfortunately, the skating was closed, but we still found plenty to do there to keep everyone entertained. We started out by golfing. The kids caught on to it pretty quick. We had to remind them to wait their turn because they were all so excited to move on to the next hole. But they all did great. Some of them even made the shots below or at par on some of the holes!

Carson, Preston, Benjamin, Luke, Jack, and
Banxton all loved playing mini golf! Even Grandma Joy got in on the action!

After golfing, we all rode some rides including a roller coaster, carousel, bumper cars, balloon ride, and a jungle gym. The boys liked the bumpers cars the most I think!

After some rides, they wanted to play golf AGAIN, so we did!

It was just an all around fantastic day. Carson even told me how good of a day it was when he went to bed that night. On Saturday after Nick got home from work, we celebrated his Birthday again as a family by taking the kids out to dinner at Applebee's. Carson told me on Saturday that he liked being 6, but he still felt like 5. It was so cute! We had a great time for his Birthday and I am still amazed that he is now 6 years old. He will start first grade in just over a month and that is crazy to me! We sure love him and his fun personality that keeps us always smiling! We love you bud!
