We also made a BIG pan of brownies, a macaroni salad, and mixed up the pudding for his cake. Then we made Swedish pancakes, per Carson's request. Blue ones!

After breakfast, we made a birthday sign for Carson that we put on the garage door! The kids thought that was pretty fun!

After we got ready for the day, Grandma Karen, Austyn, and Savanah came and we all took a trip to Costco to have some lunch, again Carson's request! (btw....Carson picked out his shirt for the day....of course he was smart and picked out a shirt with a 5 on it!!!!)

We got home and Grandma helped us decorate his cake. She is always so good at it! We did a construction theme this year.
At 2 O'clock, the friends showed up and the party began!!!! We rented a bounce house from the base and it was super fun! We also borrowed a small bounce house from a great neighbor. So between the bounce houses and the trampoline, it was a bouncin' party!!!
It was SO hot, so we decided to take a break from the heat and open presents in the cool basement! Carson got tons a great presents, including water guns, books, stamp set, rifle gun, Buzz Lightyear, Cars flashlight, Transformers, Kynex Car, School supplies, and more! He even got a new truck/tractor/fire engine/car blanket from Grandma & Grandpa Brower.

Grandma Karen and Papa Bear gave Carson this cool saucer chair for his room!! Carson LOVES it!! He spent quite a bit of time in it today, including playing his new toy he got from Mom and Dad.
We got him a Game Boy Advanced. It will be perfect for him to keep him busy while we are driving or when he needs some quiet time. I shouldn't tell you this, but today he went into the bathroom to go potty, and after like 5 minutes, I realized he was still in there. So I knocked and opened the door and peeked my head in to see if he was doing okay....and there he was sitting on the toilet playing his Game Boy. I just giggled and left him to do his business!
Of course after presents and some more bouncing it was Cake Time!!!!

It was so cute to see the kids all gather under the trampoline to keep cool while eating their cake!
